Mandy's Romance Corner Reviews

Lush (Delicious, #3)Lush by Lauren Dane

Mandy's Review: Lauren Dane is one of my favorite authors.  I love her books.   Lauren did it again, this book is awesome.  This is a second book in her new series that spins off the Brown Siblings.  Mary Whaley is a creative genius when it comes to food.  Damien Hurley is a rock god on the drums.  They meet at her best friends engagement party, then again at the wedding.  There is instant attraction between the two.  Lauren does a fabulous job of keeping your interest in her books.  Between the humor, the real relationships, the steamy bedroom (and other rooms) scenes, and  good friendships you will not put this book down.  I give it 5 stars.

Losing It (Losing It, #1)
Losing It by Cora Carmack

Mandy's Review: So I look at the cover of this book and think Oh My!!!!  Then I read the book and I still think Oh My but I also think I really loved this book.  The name of the book speaks for itself, its about the main character wanting to lose her virginity.  Cora does an awesome job of bringing Bliss’ character to life and making the reader really feel what’s going on in Bliss’ head.  This story is a lovely romance that blooms to life to make you feel, laugh and cheer for the characters to get it together and just be happy.  I would highly recommend this book to everyone.  I give it 4 stars.

Destiny at Oak Valley by Jeffree Wyn Itrich

Mandy's Review: This is an easy and entertaining book to read.  It is a tale about time traveling into the past and discovering what love and romance are all about.  This is a great book to take while traveling or a great beach read.  I give it 4 stars.

Sweetie's Song: A love story
Sweeties Song by C. A. James

Mandy's Review: This is a very sweet and tender story that will bring joy, laughter and maybe a few tears to your life.  A good read for everyone.  I give 4 stars.

ABOUT THE BOOKS:

Lush by Lauren Dane
USA Today bestselling author Lauren Dane delivers a second serving of sexy in her new Delicious novel, in which taste and temptation make up a sweet recipe…

Mary Whaley has her hands full running a successful catering company and overseeing her supper club. She has everything she ever wanted—or so she thought. When she meets ridiculously hot and very dirty rock star Damien Hurley at her friend’s engagement party, the attraction she feels is overpowering—and she isn’t about to deny herself.

Damien is used to a hard and fast life. He and two of his brothers started a band when they were fresh out of high school—then they hit the big time and stayed there. He’s also a legendary madman on the stage and in the bedroom. But when he meets Mary, something clicks, and the bad boy starts thinking he may have finally found something good.

What begins as a series of fleeting trysts soon gets much more complicated. Damien can’t figure out why Mary doesn’t want more from him. And before long, it’s Damien who wants more from Mary. But it turns out Mary is no stranger to celebrity news, and he’s got a very big job ahead of him: proving that he’s worth more than a one-night stand…

Losing It by Cora Carmack
Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

Destiny at Oak Valley by Jeffree Wyn Itrich
Imagine flying in a hot-air balloon, getting caught in an eclipse and descending over 100 years into the Wild West of New Mexico. You meet a strikingly handsome man who challenges every notion you ever had about love. That’s exactly what happens to independent, high-spirited Rachel Kingston, who doesn't know how to get home, but must find a way without losing her heart.

Sweeties Song by C. A. James
Fred Davis had hoped that his home office might serve as a refuge from his almost unbearable grief. Now, however, even that sanctuary has been invaded. Behind Fred, seated on a wooden office chair, is a creature that insists on calling him, Daddy. It has now been there for more than three hours and appears to have no inclination to leave, despite Fred’s studied attempt to ignore it. The little being, in the form of a stuffed toy bunny, seems to want to follow Fred everywhere. Its soft, sad eyes seem to plead with Fred, to beg him for some form of acknowledgement – even perhaps, Fred fears, for his love.

Fred and Sarah Davis, a grieving couple at 333 Oak Lane, in the small town of Bent Spur, Texas, have chosen to shut themselves off from the rest of the world. One can only wonder how their strategy will fare in the face of four innocent souls who offer unconditional love.

Sweetie's Song: A love story is a family-friendly novel whose readership is primarily composed of women (particularly, wives, mothers, and grandmothers) as well as children. During the first 6 months of its publication a portion of the proceeds received will be donated to THE INTREPID FALLEN HEROES FUND, a 4-Star charity that serves military personnel wounded or injured in service to our nation, and their families.
