#MMBBR #Review The Twilight Wife by @AJBanner1 #FirstLine

From bestselling author A.J. Banner comes a dazzling new novel of psychological suspense in the vein of S.J. Watson’s Before I Go to Sleep and Mary Kubica’s The Good Girl that questions just how much we can trust the people around us.

Thirty-four-year-old marine biologist Kyra Winthrop remembers nothing about the diving accident that left her with a complex form of memory loss. With only brief flashes of the last few years of her life, her world has narrowed to a few close friendships on the island where she lives with her devoted husband, Jacob.

But all is not what it seems. Kyra begins to have visions—or are they memories?—of a rocky marriage, broken promises, and cryptic relationships with the island residents, whom she believes to be her friends.

As Kyra races to uncover her past, the truth becomes a terrifying nightmare. A twisty, immersive thriller, The Twilight Wife will keep readers enthralled through the final, shocking twist.

A. J. Banner

A. J. Banner grew up reading Agatha Christie, Daphne du Maurier, and other masters of love and mystery. She enjoyed sneaking thrillers from her parents' library, which gave her excellent fodder for her novels of psychological suspense, The Good Neighbor and The Twilight Wife. Born in India and raised in North America, she always dreamed of writing gripping stories in which nothing is what it seems. She's hard at work on her next novel in her home office overlooking a Pacific Northwest forest. Sign up for her e-newsletter here: http://ajbanner.com/

#FirstLine ~ This morning, I know the scientific term for the vermilion star, Mediaster aequalis, but I have trouble remembering my name.

This book is so amazing.  It is one of those books that had me uneasy, in a good way, the whole time.  You knew that something was going on, but you could not really pinpoint what it was.  It was just a feeling you had, a tension in your shoulders, stress turning (rather burning) through the pages.  I loved the premise of the story.  It was so good because it was real...believable.  Memory loss can be a tricky thing and the way that Banner fleshed out the characters, developed the plot while mounting the thrill and then slowly filled in the blanks was nothing short of brilliant.  She has become a new favorite author and an author that I will biting at the bit to read each and every book she writes.  A must read!

HERE IS MY REVIEW FOR THE GOOD NEIGHBOR

The Good Neighbor by [Banner, A. J.]

Named by Harper’s Bazaar as a book that could be the next Gone Girl.
From a phenomenal new voice in suspense fiction comes a book that will forever change the way you look at the people closest to you…
Shadow Cove, Washington, is the kind of town everyone dreams about—quaint streets, lush forests, good neighbors. That’s what Sarah thinks as she settles into life with her new husband, Dr. Johnny McDonald. But all too soon she discovers an undercurrent of deception. And one October evening when Johnny is away, sudden tragedy destroys Sarah’s happiness.
Dazed and stricken with grief, she and Johnny begin to rebuild their shattered lives. As she picks up the pieces of her broken home, Sarah discovers a shocking secret that forces her to doubt everything she thought was true—about her neighbors, her friends, and even her marriage. With each stunning revelation, Sarah must ask herself, Can we ever really know the ones we love?

I loved this book!!! From the first page with an intense scene to the last page which brilliantly pulled it all together THE GOOD NEIGHBOR was hard to but down!!! I was on vacation with my family and kept wanting to sneak away to read more! No joke, you can ask them!!! I was thinking about this well woven mystery when I was doing other things and when I was reading I was completely engrossed! I could not put the pieces together and loved the twists and turns!!!  It was such an intense, fun, heart pounding story that all readers will enjoy!!!
